What to Expect from Apple's March 4 Event: Product Speculations and Predictions
Introduction
Most Apple events talk about releasing around 2-3 new products, what makes this event so unique is that people are saying they will announce up to 8 new devices! Lets get into them because there is a lot to talk about!
Folding and Flip Phone Innovations
For a long time now Apple's competition have been making flip phones and folding phones, often companies like Samsung using this as a flex over Apple for not making them for so long. This could come to an end very soon. Apple is rumoured to release a brand new folding phone called the iPhone Fold and possibly an iPhone Flip. The highlight feature of this new lineup is going to be an all new, never seen before in folding screens, Creaseless Screen! This should be impossible as Samsung - the company that supplies Apple with displays for their devices - has not yet made a creaseless display when folded for their folding lineup of phones. Does this mean that Apple has stopped getting their screens from Samsung? If so, that would mean that roughly 40% of their income would disappear! Are Apple making their own displays now? If they did they would save a ton of money! Only time will tell!
iPhone 17e: The Next Generation of SE
Rumours are spreading that Apple is stopping the cycle of 1 SE model per 2-3 years and moving it to an every year cycle. If they do this this might mean that the iPhone Air model won't be made every year because it would be simply too much for Apple, or would it?
On the new iPhone 17e, there are speculations that apple will be swapping the Notch for a Dynamic Island, essentially ditching the Notch forever, making the iPhone 16e the final iPhone with a Notch, crazy right? Also coming with this phone will be wireless charging and possibly Magsafe. Now I am starting to think that when they released the 16e they left a ton of features out so that in future they would have back-up features to put on the next SE if they had ran out of ideas, and that theory is becoming more and more apparent.
We think that this next SE will be targeted at people who want a base-model iPhone but don't want to pay as much because most of the base-model features are on the next SE phone anyways. Speculations say that this phone will come in at £370 ($499). A massive £74 ($100) price drop, this is probably because of the hate online because of the price.
Lower Cost MacBook with iPhone Chip
Now, for this new Macbook, many are saying, for the first time ever, Apple will make a lower cost Macbook. The thing making this new Macbook so cheap however might just make you gag... They will be using the A18 chip from the iPhone 16 models. Now my question, not saying that the iPhone 16's aren't powerful because they definitely are, how is an iPhone chip going to power an entire Macbook? I'm just saying, that if Final Cut doesn't work on this Mac you know where to look!
Other Devices
We can also expect:
Echo Display like HomePod
Updated Studio Display
Thanks for reading this article, can't wait for the event!
